BOTTOM LINE: Yes - I would recommend this to a friend
So flattering, so cute!

If you're expecting a knit item, look elsewhere. This is a smocked cotton button-down top, and it did exactly what I wanted it to. I will say it did leave some light markings on my arm from the smocking (much like an elastic waistband might), so if you have some sensory issues I would be a little wary. I am somewhere in the range of a US 14-16, sometimes a US 12 in tops depending on the cut. Got it in a US 14 and it fit perfectly.
