BOTTOM LINE: Yes - I would recommend this to a friend
Size up for a more relaxed fit

I am usually between an 8 and a 10 in bottoms, and the 10 fit me well, but I tried the 12 and actually liked when they sit a little lower and looser. This is not what everyone would prefer, but just know that since it’s a rigid denim sizing up is suggested, especially for wide or curvy hips.
