Obsessed but leather cracks a bit…

I ordered both the leash & matching collar for my 17lb Boston terrier. Butter yellow Color is spot on. The leather is high quality but not sure why it’s cracking. The hardware is light weight yet durable. The hardware does make that jingly noise. I don’t mind it

I love this leash so much but the first day I left it by the window and the leather got messed up I think because of the sun. Sad and unfortunate... :(
