BOTTOM LINE: No - I would not recommend this to a friend
This would be my favorite dress except for the poor construction

So this dress is absolutely fantastic in color and design and fit except for a major flaw: poor quality construction. I wore this dress as a wedding guest and within a few hours, the flowers began to fall off!! The "adjustable" straps are also nearly impossible to adjust and because of where the flowers sit along the shoulder, it's only adjustable to a point.

I'm going to bring the dress (and the flowers I was able to gather) to a seamstress to reattach and to secure the other flowers for long lasting wear. I may have them replace the adjustable clasps while they're at it.

Overall, as much as I love this dress, I'm disappointed in the quality especially at its price point.
