OUR STORY BY THE NUMBERS

1 FOUNDER

Says Gah!
in 2015

Lisa Says Gah was founded in 2015 by Lisa Bühler in San Francisco. The brand was built on the belief that clothes should feel like art, last for years, and make their wearer want to say “Gah!” out loud. Eleven years later, the brand remains independent, female-founded, and Lisa-led.

2 STORES

San Francisco
Los Angeles

We operate two retail stores: one in San Francisco, one in Los Angeles. Both host community events, artist collaborations, and in-person fittings. Our Los Angeles store sits in a Green Certified building. We believe in clothes you can try on, in rooms you want to spend time in.

Collection

Our collections are made in a size range spanning XS to 3XL. Inclusive sizing isn’t a feature for us, it’s a starting assumption

11 YEARS

Designing
Collaborating
Refining

Eleven years of designing, collaborating, and refining what “Gah” means. What started as one founder with a point of view is now a small in-house design team, two retail stores, and a global community of customers who recognize a Lisa Says Gah piece across a room.

12

Community Collaborations

Across artists, women-led brands, and partners we admire, we’ve produced 12 collaborations since 2015. Community isn’t a marketing pillar; it’s how the brand has always operated.

OUR DESIGN BY THE NUMBERS

Designed in Los Angeles.

Made by a small group of partners we know by name.

Here is what that actually looks like.

SINCE2015

Where
We’ve Made
Things

We started in San Francisco in 2015. Since then, we’ve moved design to Los Angeles and grown our manufacturing footprint to include partners across the US and China. The brand has grown; the way we work hasn’t.

32%

Made in
the
USA

Our collection is currently produced across the US and China, with manufacturers we’ve vetted and worked with for years. The split this year was 32% USA / 68% China. We update this number annually in our Transparency Report.

5+YEARS

With Our
Long-Standing
Partner

Our longest-standing manufacturing relationship has been in place for over five years. Long partnerships are how we protect quality and continuity of craft. We choose factories the way we choose collaborators: carefully, and for the long term.

LIMITED

Runs
By
Design

We design in small, considered drops rather than constant new arrivals. Most styles are made in modest quantities and aren’t restocked once they sell through. We’d rather sell out of something we love than overproduce something we don’t.

72%

Cotton
or
Cotton-Chief

Approximately 72% of our current collection is made with cotton or cotton as the chief fiber. Full fiber breakdowns are published in our Transparency Report and updated annually.
