BOTTOM LINE: No - I would not recommend this to a friend
Very cute, but sizing is weird

The shirt part itself is very stretchy, the fit is actually more on the larger side. But the fabric the bolero is made of.....almost has no stretch and it really digs into my arm pits. I wish i could order the shirt in M and the bolero in XL....
