BOTTOM LINE: No - I would not recommend this to a friend
Sized up but still tight

I’m usually a size 6.5 and I got a size 7 and the shoes felt very cramped across the width of my toes. And there wasn’t much room above my toes. Also the fabric felt quite stiff. Absolutely loved the color and the style though.
