As the demand for everyday non-medical masks goes up, we wanted to offer one we know our customers would love. Our masks, like all masks, can’t guarantee you’ll be protected from the virus, but covering your nose and mouth and keeping 6+ feet of distance from others while you run out to grab more toilet paper is a social courtesy that can help prevent the spread. Our masks are just one of many non-medical out there for those in low-risk environments. The cost breakdown: sewing cost made in SF $5.30, Fabric (cotton and double-layered), and tag roughly $3, donation $1. The rest goes back into the business: to our local factory, vendors (so we can keep supporting and buying exciting new brands to share with you), and our employees (none of which have been laid off or had pay cuts during this time). Wearing masks will likely be the norm for the unforeseeable future, and as demand goes up, the more the market will produce. A lot of brands we admire are also making masks, and some of us are savvy enough to make our own. We stand behind our ethics in making and selling products we know you’ll love while working with suppliers we trust, that we pay fairly and on time, always. We will continue to donate to our neighbors at the SF-Marin Food Bank.
